This is a museum devoted to cartoon characters known mostly to Europeans with the exception of TinTin and the Smurfs-[the Smurfs are a Belgian creation!] It is interesting to see the statuettes of these characters done with such detail. Signage is not always in English. If you have the time, it is well worth the visit especially if you are travelling with children. There is, of course, the obligatory gift shop as well.

If you enjoy visiting museums, then purchasing a Brussels Card is a must!
They are available in 24/48/72 passes.
I chose the 48 hour one, and included a 48 hour travel pass, which gives unlimited travel on all buses, trams and Metro.
The Pass gives you free entry to over 40 museums and attractions.
In my many previous visits to Brussels, I had never been to this museum.
Shame on me!!
The whole museum is excellent.
At each exhibit, there are English boards with lots of interesting facts.
As a note of caution, there are several figures of young ladies in various stages of undress, and some naked ones!!
No doubt like France, Belgium has a more relaxed attitude towards this, but British visitors with small children might have some explaining to do to their kids!!
These figures we're not familiar to me, so it doesn't involve Tintin or The Smurfs!!
I spent an hour, but could have stayed longer.
A must see venue, and link your visit with the Belgian Comic Strip Center.
Adult prices are €10, but it is free with the Brussels Card.

An English man and an Australian walk into the Mood and they have only ever heard of Tintin and The Smurfs. The museum was fun and cool but what really made out visit was Alice!

Alice was so helpful and informative when we asked her our weird questions. She was full of ideas of what we should do for our visit and was helpful in letting us know where to go. She recommend some great waffles to get and they were good! She told us lots if tidbits about the parts of the museums and brought a personal touch to our visit.

All museums should have an Alice and ant that employ her should give her a pay rise! ;)

We really enjoyed our visit to the Moof museum, in particular the Smurfs and Tintin exhibits! Whilst a lot of the other exhibits are based on other European comics, we still enjoyed exploring the museum as it gave us an insight to European and particularly Belgian culture! Would be a great place to visit with kids also.

If you are a fan of Tin Tin, Astrix & Obelix and the Smurfs, then this is a place to visit.
There is a lot of Belgium cartoons, that I didn’t know, but thoroughly enjoyed.
Worth a visit, put about an hour aside to see.

There we can find various character of Europeum comics, such as Asterix, Tintin, Gaston Lagarfe, Smurfs, among others.
There are original pieces from the Smurfs movie given to the museum, space for events, musical ambience and cozy lighting.
You must visit to the Moof Museum!

I went there because I am interested in the Smurfs. Only a small part of the museum was dedicated specifically to the Smurfs. However, the museum is very interesting and gives a nice overview of, especially Belgian, comics.
