An excellent menu, lively atmosphere, great food. It was a short, pleasant walk from the nearest train station. We ordered several beers and a cheese plate and it was awesome! We visited a few other places where the service staff was rude and condescending since we were travelers, but this place was great! Should have came here more. It does get very crowded and you may have to sit close to other people but it's totally worth it. The atmosphere is really neat and eclectic. Great for a chill night out.

We popped in here at lunchtime for a refreshing beer and a light snack lunch whilst touring around the centre. It's about 5-10 mins easy walk from Grand Place, and worth getting away from the bars/restaurants that look like a bit of a rip-off around there. Inside it's lovely - feels like you've been transported back in time with high ceilings, big marble pillars, mirrors and brass fittings adorning the walls. A good selection of beers to keep you refreshed, and the food (at lunch time at least) is a simple selection. Overall good value, a lovely environment to take stock and plan the next couple of places to visit, and decent food.

Visited this venue as one of a party of four adults who all enjoy Belgian beer and the whole European bar experience.

An attractive & authentic bar venue with a very good beer selection, but not quite enough 'atmosphere' to satisfy our group. We visited during the day when the place was about half full of people.

Summary: We would probably call in to sample more of the beers if we happened to be in the area again, but probably not make visiting again a priority.

First, we love lambic framboise and kriek, so that was the intent upon going in. Kriek is on tap, so is peach lambic. Didn't care for the white lambic. Service was okay. 6 beers and 2 apple juices for the kids (yes, kids are welcome, at least at 1600 on a Thursday) came out to 30,80 euro. It wasn't crowded and I don't recall anybody smoking, so maybe it is a non-smoking bar.
