“Excellent location to visit the city”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

Recently spent a weekend with friends, the hotel location is simply perfect to visit the city, nearby historical sites, in front of the subway (Bourse), walking distance to restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is just ok, in line with reasonable prices and service you can find in any other Marriott. A bit impersonal overall, but a good choice. Had an issue with the third bed, they promptly fixed the problem.

The hotel is in a nice location where you can walk into the city center and enjoy the food and shopping. Staff is generally very nice. Front desk staff is very helpful but I cannot always say the same for the bellman in the lobby.

The Executive Lounge is not staffed over the weekend so you are directed to the bar where they limit you to one drink versus during the week when there is more available in the lounge.

The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, the gym is clean and breakfast is okay (pretty limited spread compared to the restaurant).

Have stayed in Marriott during my business visits to Brussels, way back in 2008-2009. The hotel itself is located bang in the middle of Brussels' most happening area. You have plenty of options to explore in the vicinity of this hotel, be it visiting the grand place, or the manekin pis, or doing some shopping for chocolates, eatables, clothes etc. You could not have asked for a better location.

The hotel itself is pretty majestic, and the rooms are cozy, and probably a tad small. The service is fine, with nothing to complain about. The breakfast is ok, with some decent options. But this hotel could hit your wallet big time during peak season (summer-June to August).

But if you are willing to shell out that little extra, then this is a very nice option. Do try and get the street facing room.

Room Tip: Street facing rooms for a brilliant peek of the life happening by the Grand Place.

This is a great Marriott, providing excellent service, amenities coupled with Marriott consistency & customer service. Great location. Highly recommend. Wonderful staff with attention to detail. Great concierge desk. Super and convenient dining in the restaurant/bar area.

This is the best place to stay in Brussels for the following reasons:
1) 5 minutes walk to the Grand Palace and shopping Centre
2) 6-7 minutes walk to Manneken statue
3) surrounded by restaurants and even has a McDonalds at the ground floor
4) The Concierge and front desk people are very accomodating and nice
5) Super comfortable pillows and bed which is typical to Marriot
6) near the train stations/subway(Bourse)
7) Infront of the Bourse(stock Exchange)
8) For Marriot members you can stay with free internet and for Gold up you are entitled to use of the Executive Lounge which provides for breakfast and light snacks

The staff were extremely pleasant, the receptionist on arrival was so helpful, and Derek the barman ensured we had a great night on the Saturday, the bar was lots of fun. We booked an executive room and were really disappointed to find we did not have any dressing gowns or slippers. Very poor.

I've stayed at this hotel during a trip with my boyfriend, and was generally satisfied. Once I am not a big fan of closed spaces, we had to change rooms upon arriving, since our top floor room had nothing but a teeny-tiny window. Even with a full hotel, the staff understood the problem and offered to move us to another room (with two large windows!) in the executive floor for a very small price difference. The only downside of our stay was that, since the hotel is located in a very central area, the noise from parties and drunken youngsters did not let me sleep well at all (and our room faced a side street!!).
