This charming hotel is based in the heart of Brussels. The famous Grand Place is few steps far from the hotel. The main metro and train station is so close too. The hotel is very clean and the personnel is helpful and friendly.

The good: location perfect, comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom, good breakfast selection. Pleasant staff.
The bad: terrible smell enough to wake me at night, came in waves. Carpet stained in room and 6th floor hallway. Wifi accessed in lobby as nonexistant in room.

We were originally assigned room#115 which we refused because it was isolated from the hotel hallway through a door, across from the service elevator and on top of the kitchen. Very strange and unacceptable.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 609 and 115.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2013. The hotel is located right next to the Grand place. It is in front of a park and this is a problem at night. People stay in the park all night long and you can hear them yelling. The windows do not shut properly and are not soundproof. Also, the mattress is very soft and needs to be changed. A part from these items, the hotel is very good. It is close to the sights and restaurants, it offers free coffee and tea in the lobby and breakfast is very good with a wide variety of choices. I would go back to this hotel, but would ask for a room at the back even though It means that I would miss the fantastic view from my window.

Room Tip: To avoid noise at night, ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

On the way back to Amsterdam and since there was a Hard Rock as well as the obvious excellent Godiva chocolate, my wife and I decided to stop in Brussels. By total luck, we chose the Best Western Premier Carrefour De L'Europe, where the hotel is really perfectly located in the center of where we wanted to be. The Grand-Place Market / Square, the Hard Rock, and many very cool shops and buildings were literally a short walk from our room. The Hard Rock was very cool (loved the building and staff [to be reviewed later]), but what made our stay even better, was that the hotel staff decided (without us even hinting and for no special reason) to upgrade us to a suite that was huge. Even the little bit of rain, could not dampen an exceptional stay at the Best Western.

Room Tip: You really can't beat this place. Like I said, it is perfectly located and a great place to base...

Stayed here for a few days while in Belgium. Location was absolutely incredible for visiting Brussels. Close to metro, shopping, eating, and the Grand Place. One morning was even woken up by a lady singing opera in the square below. Rooms are pleasant although nothing outwardly fancy, but quite fine by my standards. Wifi was slow but usable. My fondest memories of this hotel were the amount of great restaurants/cafes/bars within 1 block of this location, and sitting in the room with the windows open just people watching. Parking is available in a garage right next to the hotel for a fee, and the hotal lobby also has a great chocolate shop attached. Seeing some of the other reviews I'm a bit perplexed as to some of the lower ratings this hotel has, whatever this hotel may lack in people's opinions it
more than makes up for in location, cleanliness, and atmosphere of this area. All-in-all, I wouldn't fail to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decently priced place to stay in the heart of the city.

First impressions clouded by 'unavailability' of pre-booked twin-bedded room. After dogged insistence, and an attempt at up-grading us to suite with Z-bed, we finally got what we had booked months before. Time-consuming and annoying - and no apology. Unable to use the advertised Bar despite prior assurance that it would be available.
The worst thing was the night-time noise - even closing the double-glazed window didn't help much. Every night of our long weekend stay was ruined by drunken shouting, singing and breaking glass throughout the night. During the early hours of the first night we were treated to what sounded like a skate-boarding session as well; for the final one, we had a ghetto blaster outside the window starting at 3.30am and going on for well over an hour and a half despite requests to reception who assured us that the police had been called. Why all the hotels around this square don't take action to address this major problem beats me. During the daytime, no attempt was made to clear the mass of broken glass, cans and general litter.

We would never return. A pity because the room was OK, bathroom very clean but no bathrobe or slippers as advertised. Good points included pleasant and friendly staff; generous breakfast; excellent central location (apart from the notorious square at the side).

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the square beside the carpark.
