“Cheap & good!”
Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Totally recommend Wok Up for a quick, good meal near the the Grand Place ("tourist trap").

We enjoyed the Kung Pao chicken & a soup with noodles, breaded chicken, bok choy, etc.

All that & two beers: 25 euro!

“Love this place - big portions of great food at a good price”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

When you are fed up with paying 22€ for a steak and french fries and want something that is delicious, very affordable and a good sized portion then this is the place to head. It has become my not-so-guilty pleasure and I head off to this place for my comfort food.

It doesn't look much from the outside and inside gives the impression of a simple American diner but don't let this put you off.

The food is excellent although the menu is limited in comparison to Chinese restaurants. You won't find a crispy duck in sight but you will find soups, dim sum, a limited array of noodle and rice dishes, etc.

Soups are about twice the size as those served in UK and only cost 4€. The big noodle soups are around 8-9€ as are the noodle and rice dishes. The Singapore noodles are great with plenty of fresh vegetables and the Kung Pao (Po?) is also very good (although it is different to the bright red sauce I get in my local takeaway but is, quite frankly, better and tastier). These main dishes are large portions too.

They also serve a selection of Asian beers at only 3€ for 330ml bottle including Asahi dry and Tsung Tao.

...and they also do all these as take-ways.

One final plus point, is that their 'hot' dishes are spicy hot unlike some of the Indian restaurants that offer a mild, medium and hot Vindaloo (what's that about?) especially when the hot Vindaloo seems to have the heat of your typical UK Korma.

“Fresh, cooked in an open kitchen and piping hot”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Walk in, simple interior, functional. Speedy fast food, yes, but what you get is freshly cooked in an open kitchen and piping hot on delivery to the table to the last morsel. Portions are large, the vegetables lovely, fairly faultless really. I lunch here occasionally and always leave content and full. & They have wifi for those who like to stay connect while you eat.

“loads of veggies and a relaxed place to dine”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

After walking through a narrow street full of hussling men trying to get us to eat in thier place- we were very happy to sit down and not be bothered at this little place.

The bowls of food were way more than we expected, I had the sweet and sour chicken with noddles, Mike had the Kung Pu Beef and our niece had beef and rice- she didn't expect all the veggies that came with it
Frshe green beans, red, yellow and green pepers- bamboo shoots, and more it was all delicious.
