“Choose your room wisely”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

A bit expensive and rather small room but very clean, comfortable, modern and very central with a metro next door. So the problem? Well, the tram is also next door, actually passing right in front of the hotel. So if your room faces the street, beware of the fact that tram run till midnight and start around 5am. Short night. Slow internet and staff OK, not more. Breakfast is good.

Room Tip: Avoid room facing the street with the tram at "any" cost.

Went here on a business visit - apparently this was our second choice but it didn't feel like it. The hotel is very fresh and modern, and is brilliantly located for a walk into town. Staff were friendly and helpful despite us being fairly demanding (moving lunch service, making short notice changes...). Rooms were comfortable and clean with modern fixtures and a very good shower. Clearly geared at the business market as we were all in twin rooms, sure they have doubles available though! Food was fine - nothing top drawer but all well cooked and presented. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were nice and creamy - an improvement on many hotels. All in all a good experience!

Room Tip: Rooms that are higher up should have less traffic noise - Brussels seems to have a lot of very busy...

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend trip to Brussels I mistakenly thought that the City Centre would be where the tourist areas were, my mistake. The hotel was in the Business part of City where all the very upmarket shops (Rolex, Armarni etc) were, this ment we had to travel into the Grand Place by taxi or metro etc.
This hotel was really nice, very clean and friendly, room was small but nice, toiletries available etc, we chose breakfast included and this was good mix of hot/cold options cerial pastries etc.
It snowed while we were there but we were warm in our room, mini bar was a bit low on stock, and only thing missing really was Tea and Coffee making in room although free Tea and Coffee was available at reception.
Great place to stay but we chose the wrong location for us.

I was worried to stay at this hotel due to mixed reviews here, but then I decided to give it a try because of its excellent location. I had a very good experience. Everything was clean, new and comfortable. The location is excellent. The restaurant/bar and the servers there could be better but it is acceptable given the Belgian standards.

The good: location, clean, good basic layout of both the building and the room. The bad: noisy (light sleepers should not get a room facing the street — traffic noise and late night revellers), seriously expensive (205€, in my case including breakfast, but early check-in cost a full additional night, not the advertised 30€), and dreadfully slow internet that requires a new code every 24 hours for each device you might want to use. Oh, and the adjacent single beds that slide apart easily might work well for the hotel for either single or double occupancy, but it is disconcerting to have a sizeable gap open up next to you during the night. Would I stay here again? On business with the company paying the tab, probably. On personal travel, assuredly not.

For 210 euro a night excluding breakfast I was put into a tiny room in the attic, with cracks in the ceiling. In the room it is impossible to stand up when seated at the desk next to the bed. The heating system did notwork properly, light in the bathroom is insufficient (no lights next to the mirror, only in the ceiling). The "fitness" room has exactly 2 machines (of which no running tredmill) and one single barbell... The environment (trams passing by) is very noisy.

The hotel is clean and peaceful at night, but it is rather basic. No tea & coffee making facilities (free coffee at the front desk in the mornings) and my shower was leaking. For business stay it serves it's purpose. Free wi-fi which is good.

I did not try the breakfast but there are many stores for breakfast in the area.Good central location close to public transport.
