Absolutely stuffed with restaurants, very picturesque, but if I've any say at all, I'd always chose somewhere else. Some of these outfits set out to lure you in and really rip you off if you're not careful. There are many good places to eat in Brussels, but not here!

Like most of the streets in the olc centre of Brussels it is packed with food, wine, beer and chocolate, great especially the Barasserie Roue D'Or.

One rule: avoid going where the waiters are trying to lure you. The real classic don't need to molest anyone and it is actually illegal, but apparently most of the tourist trap places don't care. Although most restaurants probably offer decently prepared foods, it is really worth trying the classics, such as Vincent, Aux Armes de Bruxelles, Chez Leon, Scheltema and some others. Just use your guide book or restauarant review sites for more info.

The atmosphere in the little street is charming, all these nice looking restaurants with fancy food in external display... The truth is that typically these restaurants are just a copy one of the other. Dishes are the same in most of the menus and if you visit a few of them in mixed order you will always have a sensation of " deja vu"....
Food quality is not high, rices and pastas are normally overcooked and waiters are really "waiting" for you outside, ready almost to pull you inside by force.
Overall an attraction for tourists, but if you are looking for good food go elsewhere...
