An interesting square architectural with some buildings of the pre-war (II WW) times, some nice cafees and bar around and much free space! It is a must for young people and gives you the opportunity for a ride along the river of the "etangs" near by...

Place Eugene Flagey is a very interesting place to visit, have a coffee and watch the crowd. Cafe Belga which is situated there isi one of the most famous cafes in Brussels. I don't like it in particular but...it is famous anyway! The area has a cult character due to some extent to the art deco buildings on the southern side. The building of "La Maison de la radio", a former radio station which is now a cultural centre is remarkable. The futuristic look of the trasports station is also impressive.

On this large square sits a famous building in which used to be the national radio.
After the radio moved to recent premises, the building was restored and a bit modified.
The radio studios (concert halls) remain intact and many interesting events take place there.
On the ground floor of this buiding there is a large café that has become "in".
Artists and many young people go there.
During Summer, the terrasse is full.

Great place for everyday life featuring a farmers market saturdays and sundays, students hanging around and everyone enjoys a drink in the bars surrounding it.
