After a long day of walk, we just sitted down with my boyfriend eating some Moroccan Sandwiches.
Full of small groups, it a good place to visit

I remember this parc being very popular with tourists on my previous visits to Brussels. It was all but empty on a hot and sunny day. One of the fountains we dry and being refurbished and that didn't help...but there was no colour about the place.

At one end of the parc are the parliament buildings...Palais de la Nation that seem to be in use still...but sadly the Palais Royal was deserted of any royal occupation...no guards...looking very sad and forlorn. The King now lives in the Royal Palace of Laeken on the outskirts of Brussels.

Now if royalty has any use at all in the modern world it is to give gravitas and dignity to its nation and people...a great attraction is always to see their palace at the heart of the nation and to watch the changing of the guard and other royal ceremonial events...come on Belgium, you can do better by your King than this!

It would be like the Brits closing down Buckingham Palace and taking up residence in Kensington Palace or worse...Leeds Castle in Kent!

Good for a walk but absolutely nothing going on. The path is clean and nicely lined with trees, but don't expect large green grass to sit on or anything fun happening.

We usually go to the park to let our son run around in the grass for a while and to get a break from all the hard surfaces and noisy streets. This park had giant blooming trees while we were there and some nice paths to walk down. They also had a large fountain with ducks in it. Our other friends were walking their daughter around this area--she ended up in the water! It was pretty funny after it was done being scary. The water is several feet deep. It's one of those adventures in parenting. I did see a playground area up on a hill while we were walking, but I didn't get to check it out since our friend no longer had dry shoes. I think this is a great park to go to for a break and a quiet stroll. It's also very close to the palace, the music museum and other landmarks.

This park is located in front of the palace.
Strangely it is not as good as other parks in Brussels.
It is lack of grass, dirty and unorganized.
I will prefer to go other park for picnic.
