“Classic cars, what did you expect”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

If you're not interested in cars, stay away. If you are, this is a good opportunity to see a magnificent collection of classic and vintage cars from the early 20th century. The design of the museum isn't the best, but the content is magnificent. From end 2012, there will be a massive upgrade in the structure of the collection which will make it even more enjoyable to stroll through the museum.

“Beautifully presented Collection of Automobiles”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Great collection of cars & (some) motorbikes from all ages. There was a fee of €9 to get in which seemed steep after getting in free to the Military Museum, which is across the road, but when you got in and walked around the collection it was value for money. If you have an interest in cars this is definitely worth a visit.

“A Really Fun Museum”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

You don't have to be a great fan of antique cars to appreciate this museum. In fact, unless you actually hate cars, this is a really fun and impressive place. Auto World is comprised of the personal collection of only one man, accumulated over decades. It not only includes gigantic old touring cars, like Rolls Royce, Bentley, and the even more luxurious Hispano-Suiza (the favorite of many old Hollywood silent screen stars). AutoWorld also includes such oddities as the tiny post-war Messerschmidt economy car, which looks like a tiny submarine, and the American Amphicar (the 1950s amphibious car which can be driven into water and converts into a boat, and then driven back on shore). I can't even remember all of the other odd European models, dating back to before World War I. There is also a small section devoted to pre-auto carriages.

Auto World is in a gigantic museum complex in the Brussels suburbs, called Parc du Cinquantenaire. Other attractions there include art and military museums, and a couple of nice little cafes. There is a Metro stop at each side of the park, so it is convenient to visit.

“Interesting history of the auto”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Autoworld has a very good collection of cars, mostly European and American, showing the chronological development of automotive technology. It's fascinating to see how in a century the car went from a simple motorised carriage to the ultramodern racing cars of today. The museum has some of the best examples of how cars developed in Europe and the USA.

“Beautiful old cars”

This museum contains hundreds of old fancy cars, from beginning of XX century up to the 80's, all in perfect shape and condition. Picturesque park nearby. Really worth visiting
