“Everything is a problem!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

If you look at my other reviews, you can see that I try to highlight and really support hotels and people in hotel industry, but this time, I am sorry, I can not do that. In this hotel, everything is a problem from the first moment.
I have booked 5 rooms through travel agency. I have send one request prior our arrival, so no troubles are at the check-in. I have received a reply on my e-mail, when I was already accomodate in the hotel, little late...
Anyway, unfortunately people in this hotel are very unprofessional and even worse very unfriendly. For 5 prepaid rooms, I had to pay city tax (what is OK) at the time of check-in, but I can only receive the bill at the check-out, when I give back the keys, What??? I asked to receive a ONE bill for all the room, so I do not carry with me 5 different bill, NOT POSSIBLE!!! And suistanability and environment is the issue Nr. 1 at the moment.
Check-in was like 40 minutes, check-out even more.
The rooms are OK for Belgium standard. The only thing which was good, was Breakfast, but be prepare to pay for your room more than 200 eur and you have to pay extra Breakfast 12 eur, WHAT???
I am just really, really dissappointed and if you can, do not wish you this experience.
Accross the hotel is Restaurant Sainte-Catherine, I really reccomend this restaurant. You can see my review of this restaurant in detail, amazing experience, great owner, really tasty food :)

Room Tip: Ask for rooms not in the street, very loud.

Stayed here with 7 friends in August. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the Central Station and 5 minutes away from the Grand Place. Rooms need updating but fine for a short weekend break. I paid 50 euro's for the night which is fantastic for the location. Check in was smooth and the staff are very helpful. Will defianatly stay here again on my next visit to Brussels.

Excellent location with underground car-park. However we had to wait in queue for over an hour to check in! Apart from that the breakfast lady was very friendly and the secure underground car-park is definately an advantage.

The room was reasonably clean although there were hairs in the bath. That said the beds were comfortable and the hotel is within easy access of the Central Station. Breakfast by comparison with prices in the town is good value and recommended if you are on a budget and you don't want to spend unnecessarily on overpriced food. Service in the breakfast restaurant is very good and the lady that works there is exceedingly helpful. Most of the staff are polite but I do think that they are undermanned at the reception desk, a pity cause it is the one point that creates the first and last impression. My overall impression a fairly average hotel but with some good points however its not one I would return to by choice.

It is what it is.
Stayed here on 3 different occations. Chose this hotel because I have gotten very good deals here.
The reception is blend and the rooms are like a monastery cell. Very simple. Always bern greeted with a smile though.

But the rooms are clean and ok for sleeping.
Located perfecly nestled between St Catherines, Le Brouckere, Grand Place and the shopping street (rue Neuve). Perfect for exploring Brussels daytime and nighttime.

Like many other reviews we can echo that this was a cheap option, the service was not great, we chose not to have expensive breakfast option, plenty of lovelycafe s behind the hotel. Not sure what this hotel had against pillows? ? Seriously? they are not pillows. The door locks are a bit difficult and our shower flooded the bathroom door twice, with no drain in the floor it did use up every towel and mat to mop up.
