The main Parliament visit was closed but we stumbled across this too, it's free to enter & has free toilets!! You are given an iPod type device which enables you to scan information points around the tour for more information. There are lots of points to take in and it's available in many languages. There are also child info points to help them understand. It's pretty interactive but I struggled to really buy into it. To be honest it was nice to get in the dry and sit on some comfy chairs when listening to info! I wouldn't recommend this for families as the kids are probably going to find it boring.

I almost didn't go in. This is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Have to go through an airport type security check which is understandable. You can park your coats and luggage in a key locker. ( 5 Eur refundable deposit). You get an I-pod type device in your language and you scan points of interest along the way. You go at your own pace. Interactive elements hold your interest. Would thoroughly recommend.

This place was the only thing I liked about Brussels and was well worth the visit. I spent the afternoon here and the mixture of interactive, audio and graphic materials was really informative; way better than a sleepy school history lesson. The interactive material was in a wide range of languages and you could take the self guided tour at your own pace too going back to areas of interest and skipping parts. This would be a great high school trip. There was a great little gift shop and lots of info at the end regarding different parties in Parliament. Don't be fooled by the concrete exterior; go inside!

Very biased one-sided view of the European project. I suppose if they don't do it themselves no one else will.
If someone from outside the EU visited here they would think that we Europeans are living in utopia.
Also, overstaffed, who would have thought that eh? They had one guy there to tell people where the cloak room was. A sign with an arrow would surely have sufficed!!
Worth a visit but bring a pinch of (or a bucket of) salt.
