We came without reservation and were offered a place on the bar, that we happily accepted - and what a treat! The food was excellent, ingenious even, the wine list very good with a nice half bottle Riesling, everything very, very tasty. The only drawback of the bar was the entrance right in our back, but we happily endured that ;)

There are so many restaurants Brussels, unfortunately we won't be going back to Les Petits Oignons. We had to request an apero after 10-15 minutes of being seated, the waiter he didn't seem very interested, took effort to get his attention in such a small restaurant and ....we were early for dinner at 7. After eating plenty of bread with olives the starters finally arrived, and not yet a wine card. Main courses served almost an hour later but sadly to report the wine was then nearly finished. The octypus salad was delicious, the fish was also very tasty. A dining experience can not have only good food.

Fantastic food, inconsistent service, tight table. Mix between brasserie and fine dining does work. Nice uncomplicated wine list including fine half bottles.

We were led to the back in a tight spot when we arrived. Corner table. Ouch. The waiter seemed to rush us when he wanted us to move fast. But The food was brilliant. We had two nice appetizers; foie gras and scallops(warm). Outstanding main dishes; lamb and sole. Very tasty.

Recommended as long as you don't expect a five star restaurant. Definitely a 4.8.

Thank J M

My apologies to all language lovers who know that this restaurant is named after the french idiom " soigner qqn aux petits oignons". "Brasserie Les Petits Oignons" not only lives up to, but far exceeds its name which means to attend to someone's every need. Everything about it was simply perfect, which made for an unforgettable dining experience in spite of torrential Brussels weather on a Saturday night. Bravo!

I have been to the restaurant previous times and have always been satisfied.
They knew me as a recurrent client who has recommended the restaurant to many friends.
I went there again, a couple of weeks ago, for lunch on a Sunday. I booked a table for two the day before for 1.00pm and, once arrived, they gave us a table for 1/2 person! Yes, just next to the wall, in a small corner where the coats of the clients were hanged - no possibility to move the arms and eat.
We had to eat with the coats of other people on our dishes!
We asked to move to another table in front - which was free - and the answer has been that that table was already reserved. I asked what should I have done in future to book a specific table, if I could know the number. No answer to my question!
Well, that table has never been occupied. Nobody arrived until 3.30 when we left!!
The waiter was very messy. We asked for some butter and never arrived! To get bread and water we had to ask about 20 times.
We have waited for more than 1h to be served the single dish we had ordered, the same dish for the two of us. After such a long waiting, when we finally had our dish which was nothing terrific, the desserts were almost all finished. So we didn't have any dessert also because it was already 3.30pm.
Service awful, food disappointing and the bill very high, as usual!
I will never go back again and am very sorry for this as it was one of my favorite restaurants in Brussels.
It used to be worth it the price, this time was not!
