I stayed here due to the impressive tripadvisor ratings but feel misled. The rooms are very basic, one plug socket, one hard plastic chair, two coat hangers, tiny TV, shower only, one bar of soap for toiletries. Surrounding area includes a porn cinema and sex shops and not a fat lot else.

The WiFi comes and goes and if you register, your code only works in one device. Was useless for making a VOIP call.

Overall disappointing and I rarely give bad reviews.

This was a great hotel to stay at with friends if you are in your 20s. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a great location. I would recommend it to friends going to Amsterdam. They sent very helpful directions to get to the hotel when we arrived.

We booked this hotel at fairly short notice for a lads football trip to Brussels. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place. The rooms are very basic but very clean and modern and the beds comfy. The public area is a good meeting place with some well stocked vending machines, including beer, wine, snacks and essentials.

I really like this concept for short stays when you don't intend to spend much time in the hotel.

i think this hotel is one of the best solutions if you want to stay near the center, have clean rooms all at a very good price. the room looked good, nice furniture, very clean, very confortable.
the only bag thing is that you can't open the window in your room..not sure why but that's the way it is. the staff, i mean the only one man that stayed at your service at the check-in machines was kind and helpful. location - only 5 min away from the center, 2 min away from the metro station, 1 min away from a McD where you can find free internet.

although i had no problems when i checked-in/out, i had some problems when i paid for the room on the internet. i payed for the room, the money were taken instantly but got the confirmation of my rom only after 4 days!!! so i became a little worried, had to email them 4 times and call to clarify my situation, they said there was a problem with the system. all in all i'll be back here if the prices will be good

Myself and my boyfriend were looking for a budget hotel in Brussels and managed to stumble upon Maxhotel. It fitted into our budget perfectly and for the price we payed, it was a great stay. The location is very central in the shopping area, and about a 15 minute walk away from central station. The room we had was 409 which was very big and extremely clean. The check in process is all done through a machine, although there is someone there to help if you need it. There is a communal lounge on the first floor which we didn't use too much but it has vending machines and plenty of room to sit and relax. The only real downside to the hotel is having pay for Wifi. Apart from that, I would recommend this hotel and I will stay there again in the future.
