The bathroom was horrible! The first room they gave me had a shower that's smaller than 1m², with curtains around that keep surrounding your body while you take the shower! Horrible facilities in the restroom it really looked like unfinished construction site! The bedroom was arranged as if they have never considered how to makes things work instead of just stuffing furniture. The table too close to the bed that made the chair impossible to be taken out... And the armchair was terribly stained: it looked disgusting and doesn't give you the intention to touch it...
Then I went to the front desk and asked for changing a room: ok for the next one yes we have better sized bathroom along with bigger bedroom. The restroom has a bathtub but incredibly slender. Not a normal sized one but a very long and thin one... Still it's better than a mini shower room with moving curtains...
Furniture in better status compared to the previous one.
But man, rooms on the 4th floor are not 4 star hotel rooms! it's a low rank of 3 stars and doesn't deserve 150+ euros per night!

Still, breakfast was good, quite big choose. Staff friendly enough. Café capsules available for coffee time in the room and a kit of welcome (shower, shampoo, body lotion & soap) are nicely placed in all rooms.

Also, regarding the price, this is a value which changes depending on the season and demands.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hotel is close to the main square in Brussels. The hotel is clean and the hotel rooms are cleaned daily with clean towels changed on a daily basis. The staff are very friendly and helpful and could not do more for a person. The breakfast was superb. Hot and cold buffet, with lots of choices. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Brussels.

The heat of June, 2019 was too much for their HVAC system. They allowed us to change rooms three times before we found air conditioning that would work well enough to cool the room down. Other than that, the rooms were all very clean and comfortable, but the amount of work we had to do to get a respectable room was too much. The front of house staff were very nice and worked hard to make us happy for the week. We give them kudos for that!

Looking for a place to stay near the Grand' Place in Brussels, I booked the NH located rue d'Assaut, which is a narrow street more or less opposite the Saint Gudule Church. We had a large triple room (although not yet refurbished in the new NH colours - that was fair enough as it was advertised so in the booking website) overseeing that street, with a large but badly designed bathroom and a narrow separate toilet overseeing a smaller street on the side. The curtains were however not properly fixed on both windows, which immediately give a poor impression as large segments were dangling out (the kind of thing I would immediately get fixed at home). From the evacuation plan of the hotel, I realised that we were lucky as many rooms only overlook such narrow street! As we stayed on the 3rd floor (button in one of the lift missing as we arrived on a Sunday evening), we were however not spared of noise from the street (ambulances, motorbikes etc) if the windows were open, nor noise of works (rubble tumbling down) from the bathroom side. The breakfast was however very well stocked, which is probably the hotel's best feature.

Room tip: Beware that most rooms will have a very limited view

Lovely hotel, we really enjoyed the company of Murak and Francios. They had a fantastic attitude and made us new foods we have not seen before. Our room was quiet and cleaned well. We shall be back soon (ish) :).
