I heard about this place through a travel guide and I was not disappointed when I went. It is a jazz club in the truest sense of the words with heavy velvet curtains separating the door from the main room, and chairs with red velvet cushions.
On the night I went, there was a university masters jam session happening, something which becomes a staple throughout the winter at this particular club. It wasn't packed, but there were enough spectators to make it an enjoyable evening and to give the performers a little extra spark.
They also have numerous jazz concerts each month, many of which would be worth attending if you stayed in the city.
This is a great club with great atmosphere - and great music.
