“High end Italian eating in Brussels”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

I love traditional Italian food; yet Dolce Amaro is not your traditional Italian restaurant. Definitely, Italian food for foodies. Still a simple person like me enjoyed the food and service. The waiters were great, and they give us a free appetizer. We order wine off the menu, so ask if you do not see your favorite on the wine list. The menu is limited, but everything is fresh. I tried a new pasta with mussels and mushrooms--nice surprise. Expensive, but worth a visit. Make a reservation.

“Superb ! True Italian cuisine in Brussels”
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

One of the best Italian restaurants I ever had the pleasure of experiencing, not in Italy but located in Brussels... A must for any aficionado of Italian cuisine. Tagliatelle with truffels and Parmesan, Fiorentine manzo and dolces accompanied by great wines... Wow.

“Surprisingly good”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

Off the beaten path, looks pretty regular from the outside and nice extraordinary inside but...everything else is an absolute positive surprise. Very well assorted menu with classic Italian dishes interestingly revisited, courteous service and excellent quality. Will go back.

“I Loved This Place!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

It's a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth it. We got there fairly early, 18:30, and got a parking space right out front. We ate on the patio out back, which was a lovely setting. I felt like I was eating at a good friend's home. Many of the staff are Italian and it is great fun to listen to French being spoken with an Italian accent - - funny how Italian accents are always so recognizable. The food was very fresh, and expertly prepared and presented. It wasn't fussy food, it was very good, very fresh, comfort food. I was there with a group of colleagues from the US and various places in Europe and we all loved what we ate. I had the linguini which was cooked to perfection and the salad I had first was so incredibly fresh and tasty. The wine list is good and reasonably price. If you are in Brussels find this place. You will not regret it.

“overrated”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

They have a very nice garden. That's about the best thing that can be said for this restaurant. The service is sloppy. The food is, well, okay; but at this price level you would expect better. There are many restaurants in Brussel that beat this one hands down. Try le chou de Bruxelles, different cuisine, obviously, but delicious.
