Ibis is a basic budget hotel - there aren't many luxuries. However, we found this hotel to be perfect for sightseeing in Brussels. It is a fifteen minute walk to the Central train station and ten to the Grand Place. The area around Sainte Catherine is cute with its own little set of restaurants, very safe.
For being a budget hotel, Ibis did a great job with the rooms, lobby and amenities. The room was not hugely spacious but modern, clean, comfortable and good use of space (i.e. lots of shelves in bathroom, etc.) AC and wifi worked great. Breakfast for 14 euros, a little pricey but a huge spread. Plus, they were able to set it up early for us when we had an early train. And, when you throw in the very affordable cost - definitely would recommend! In fact, will start to look for more Ibis hotels in the futureMore
