The hotel is very close to Central Brussels train station and is in the centre of the tourist area of Brussels. Our room was tiipcal of Ibis hotels. The room was nice and clean but certainly not large. Bathroom was satisfactory but toiletries disappointing as mentioned by other reviewers. Suggest you bring your own shampoo and other soaps and a face washer. Towels in the bathroom were not up to standard, very thin.
Bedding was ok but a top sheet would be appreciated.

Reception was fast and efficient and quite pleasant. Lifts were good.
Wifi in room was good also.
Did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was quite expensive. Plenty of small places outside and close to the hotel .

The best by far of this place is the location. The room is a standard Ibis room, the same anywhere. Clean. But the shower is messy, splits water all over the place. The staff is Belgian friendly. And the worst is that there is not a mini fridge.

Room Tip: The higher the best.

We stayed here for one night and loved the bed. It was very big and comfortable, as was the rest of the room. The location is unbeatable! It couldn't be closer to the station and the main plazas.
I found the breakfast to be a little bit expensive and I was outraged when I found the lockers that are offered to keep your bags before check in and after check out come with a three euro charge. It felt like a rip off since I was a paying costumer.

It was a very nice stay. Perfect location, gently staff and nice room! We were very near Grand Place and the train station. Also, Delirium Bar, one of the most famous bars in the world, was like 5 minutes walking.

Stayed here on a "beer-cation" recently. This is probably the best Ibis I have stayed in in a lot of ways. The reception and lobby area is very nice looking and the staff very professional and multi-lingual. I have some kind of status due to staying in a lot of Accor group hotels and they gave me a ticket for a free drink which was a nice touch. The rooms are small but manageable, and well appointed. The bathroom was fine. The location is fantastic, about a block from the main square and in front of another pretty square, as well as being about a block away from the Grande Halles and walking distance to many other attractions. My only complaint is that in my room at least, there is a door so that you can join the room to the next one. This door lets a lot of noise in from the adjoining room which is not a big deal if you have no neighbors or they are quiet, however if they are loud, this could be uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with no door adjoining it to the one on the side, if such a room exists.

Does not offer even the very basic amenities – expect to bring your own toiletries unless you are ok with using the same soap dispenser for your face, body and hair. Towels are really thin not the thick fluffy ones most of us are used to in a hotel. No safe or mini frig. No closet to store your clothes and things, just open cubbies that expose your stuff to view by anyone coming into the room. In bathroom tub/shower enclosure was a glass panel that extended only one half of the tub so the floor always got wet when we showered. Bed mattress was hard not firm. Website says they have a laundry – this does not mean a coin operated self service one like you can find in most like kind US hotels, its actually a laundry service, but if you bring to them in morning you will get back in the early evening. Did not opt for the hotel breakfast but had that at the Exki (highly recommend this place) directly across the square which offered the same breakfast items but you could choose by item so only paid for what you wanted and saved us some euros. Of course, as stated location is what makes this hotel attractive – fronts a quaint little square that had a open air market going on the weekend we checked in. Next door to a small mall of high-end shops, including the ones selling high quality chocolate. 5 minutes from the magnificent Grand Place which to our delight had a jazz festival going on that weekend, which added to a very enjoyable weekend. Lots and lots of places to eat in the immediate area so don’t have to go far. Walked to the Grand Sablon area in 15 minutes to see the Palace and drink hot chocolate at Wittimer. Although our room was at the front of the hotel we were not bothered by the noise in the square at night like others have posted or maybe we were just so tired from our daily exploration of the city we slept more soundly.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Brussels Off Grand Place. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.
The Ibis brand is a low budget brand so we do not provide the same services as for example the Novotel, which is a brand that does provide all the services that you were missing in our hotel. I suggest for your next reservation that you try the Novotel, which I am sure will meet all your expectations.
Kind regards,
