Brussels is a small city in miles. So when you stay at this property you realise what a fantastic decision it is. Right in the middle of a bustling square with the grand place a hop and skip away with the mannekin statue another hop away - it's incredible. The metro is 2 mins away in case you want to go to mini Europe and the atomium. Packed with music, eateries, cafes, bars its an amazing experience. And the hotel small but clean, neat and impeccable. Our room was a suite and for a family of 4 it had massive room for movement. A must stay for location and convenience.

Room Tip: Try and get the ones overlooking the market and square.

Stayed here with some friends recently and for the location and booking two days prior, it was really quite inexpensive. We stayed in a 'family' room which meant it had a queen size bed and a couch that folded out into a bed. The couch folded out in two sections and was premade which was a nice touch. The rooms were nice and clean, updated, comfortable. The hotel is quite nice for a budget hotel. The only things holding this back from 5 stars:
- The room was noisy; we were on the 3rd floor and even late at night the street noise was like having the window open.
- The shower made a huge mess due to the way it's set up and the door closes. If you don't want to get water everywhere, you have to get in the shower, close the door and then turn it on but there's no place to stand where you wouldn't get hit with a huge initial COLD blast of water.

Finally, this isn't really a negative, just more of a head scratcher, the hotel lobby had a couple of iMac's set up for guests... and they were running Windows!!!! Seems like a pretty expensive waste of decent hardware but whatevs.

Room Tip: higher floor, maybe, so you don't have as much street noise?

In comparison to its sister hotel over in the St Catherine area, the good thing about this hotel is its location close to the Gare Centraal train station and its proximity to (not in) Grand Place.

For around the same price, the rooms are considerably smaller and the reception somewhat more clinical. Breakfast is ok. It can get quite noisy in the morning if your room looks out over the entrance to the train station.

My room was L-shaped so I couldn't see the room entrance when in bed. The biggest shock was a member of staff (I presume) opening the door at 11:30 at night, getting a response from me, then he apologised and closed the door. I still can't fathom it and reported it to Reception the next day (and they were as puzzled as I had been).

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the square rather than overlooking the train station entrance.

15 minutes on the train from Brussels airport to Brussels central brings you to this hotel. Excellent location, reliable free wifi and pleasant staff. There is no old world charm but for business trips you can't beat it.
