Meh. Cookie-cutter low to mid-end business hotel. But you can't beat the location. Didn't eat or drink in the hotel because so can't comment on that, no need to because you are a short walk from so much. Not a very welcoming lobby, though.

Stayed for 2 nights for a pre-Christmas break - have visited Brussels before and this is the nearest we've stayed to the centre. Hotel was as you would expect - very clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to assist. Great location and easy to find as well as being near transport links. Can't fault it at all, would stay here again.

Located right in the heart of the city center of Brussel, this hotel makes for a perfect place to stay for pleasure and business. It's just a 5 minute walk away from the central train station. From the Brussels South/Midi train station where the Thalys arrives you can take the metro. You'll have to transfer once to get to the central train station. From the airport you can take the airport metro. Also one transfer needed for that. Don't take a taxi as they're extremely expensive (paid 40 euro's for the ride from the airport to this hotel).

The hotel is luxorious, spotless clean and modernly furnished. There's free unlimited decent wifi available throughout the whole hotel. In the lobby there are a couple of Macs to browse the internet available for free as well. There are free fitness facilities available on the 3rd floor.

I had the pleisure of staying in a suite room (#310). Very large, seperate hallway, seperate toilet, seperate shower and a large bed, working area and seating area with two chairs. The room is also equipped with a mini bar, safe, hot water boiler with free tea and coffee and a small flatscreen tv with channels in several languages.

Didn't go for the breakfast buffet as it costs 23 euros each (insane!). There are a lot of places around where you can grab dinner, lunch or breakfast. Don't go to the french fries place Resto-Snack accross the street as it is expensive and extremely disguisting.

It's a 5 minutes walk to the grand market. Watch the christmas show in the evening at the grand market, it's breath taking.

No noise from neighbours, there is a lot of noise coming from the street though. Luckily at night its relatively quiet outside, but I would recommend to ask for a not streetside facing room. Rather not have the view but sleep well at night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street. There's a lot of noise coming from groups of people walkin...

Booked a family deal online - included late Sunday check out (5pm) and free breakfasts for the kids. Caught the train from the airport to Brussels central and then just a five minute walk downhill to the hotel (Come out of the main entrance of the train station, turn to the left and walk under the large grey arch, turn right and walk down the cobbled pavement with the red church on your left and the hotel is at the bottom of the hill on the corner of the square).

Location is perfect, couple of minutes to the wonderful Grand Place and from there 5-10 mins to other parts of the Christmas markets including the main event in St Catherine's place. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby and the city sightseeing bus start/stop is close by too.

We had late breakfasts both days (served til 10.30 on a weekend) - good selection for the price. Hotel has free Macs in reception and free wifi in the rooms. Our room was spacious with a separate toilet and walk in shower. Nice and warm and quiet too (5th floor).

Highly recommend this hotel and Brussels itself at Christmas time, simply wonderful!

Room Tip: street noise at night on the lower floors

Just got back from two nights in brussels, grand place in Novotel, excellent all round, perfect location, friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Bright rooms, really comfy beds....
The only thing I would say is that the family rooms are quite small, so if staying more than maybe 2/3 nights, may want to upgrade to a suite...
But very pleased with our first experience of a Novotel hotel...
Will def use again

Just stayed at the Novotel in Brussels off grand place for a weekend with family. Location is ideal, near everything. Near Central Stn, Grand Place, loads of restaurants and all the shopping on your doorstep. The reception staff were fabulous, pleasant and helpful. Our room was good, we had 2 adults, a 9yr old and a 1yr old. The room was plenty big enough, the bathroom and toilet clean, beds good (a little firm but great) and the cot provided was brilliant, and had a mattress unlike most in hotels which meant the baby slept well, so we all did.
We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was quite expensive (23€ pp) but the bar staff were all very helpful and friendly as was the room cleaning people.
I fully recommend this hotel ( unlike the taxi drivers who can be corrupt and some fab). It does have a feel of 'the shining' in the corridors and things are plain but they are nice and not horribly cheap and ikea.
