My review may or may not be impaired by the 10% Belgian beer I had enjoyed prior to arriving...but I think it's pretty objective.
First and foremost - free champagne!!
This is the fourth time I've been to Brussels, and every time I'm there, I have to order mussels at one of my meals. This restaurant knows their mussels. Wow. I ordered my pot o' mussels in the butter and garlic sauce, and they were seasoned to perfection. Hands down the best I've had. I was sad when I got full because I wanted to keep enjoying their deliciousness!
A friend of mine ordered the lobster bisque as a starter. It came out piping hot and was also supreme.
My other friend, who, incidentally was dressed as a knight, ordered a steak with Bernaise sauce. Her steak was cooked to perfection and that sauce was simply scrumptious.
Our bill for three of us (two pots of mussels with fries, one "special" steak with fries and Bernaise sauce, lobster bisque, large bottle of still water) was around €95. But, considering our outfits when we walked in the door, I definitely would not call this place snobby.
Plus one for the waiter "sword-fighting" with my friend.
