“Beautiful Park”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

The Cinquantenaire Park has a beautiful triumphal arch with a wonderful quadriga on top of it. This is very beautiful architecture. At one end of the park there is a monument to the Belgian soldier. The park has very long vistas and is a delight to walk in.

“A beautiful park in a large mourn city environment.”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

We went to visit the museums as well as the park and the features within. What a delightful park and, as another review has said, you don't have to share with too many others. It is easy to get to especially if you have invested in a Discover Brussels train ticket. The main gate competes with the Arc de Triumphe for splendour. The avenues of plane trees are magnificent and the whole "grand parterre" effect is great. A little disappointed the Horta Pavillion was closed off for renovation but I'm pleased it will be cleaned up. It is not in good condition at present.
The added attraction is the two museums in location . They are worth a visit but it really depends upon your interest in cars for one and your knowledge of Belgian history for the other. Both could be irrelevant if your interests don't match.

“Great park for sunbathing”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

This is a wonderful park in Brussels. Spacious enough, not overrun with joggers on a lunchtime, and screaming children. Has stunning architecture. Well worth a visit if you want to escape the city in the city. Only slight drawback is the road which runs through the middle of it, granted, the road is in a cutting and surrounding my hedgerows, but it still contributes background noise.

“Beautiful, Scenic and just...... wow!!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Cinquantenaire Park is gorgeous. The gardens are a lovely place to hang and just chill out in the sun with a picnic. There is also a fountain which is beautiful and really adds to the scenery, My favourite part has to be the Triumphal Arch which was built to celebrate Belgiums golden jubilee by Gedeon Bordiau and was completed in 1888, it looks very similar to the Brandenburg Gates in Berlin, but is a different monument all the same. The best part was running through here when competing in the Brussels Half Marathon in 2010. I would like to see it again and will do if I come back to Brussels.

“Meh”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

If you're not a museum fan such as myself there's not much to do other than walk around the park. The arch structure is great though, but don't waste too much time here.
