The surroundings could be so amazing, but are just tawdry through lack of attention to detail. How much does it cost to replace expired light bulbs?? Food just acceptable but service lamentable. Go here for a drink to experience the atmosphere of yesteryear but you'll regret it if you stay to eat.

I went to Falstaff to enjoy the atmosphere and have a hot chocolate with my husband. It is worth doing to just sit down in the lovely surroundings. I don't know about the food...but it is true that the service for our hot chocolate was slow and less than friendly, but we didn't care too much because we enjoyed the place a lot for the Art Nouveau and Art Deco decoration. Check out the ceiling!

Having been seated promptly, we had to almost beg to have our order taken, after waiting 20 minutes for English menus. We waited a further 30 minutes for our food, which was nothing special.

The staff continually ignored us throughout the evening, the place didn't seem that busy and there was no hint of an apology for the slow service.

The food was pleasant but not worth the wait or the prices to be honest.

Guide books describe this restaurant as one of the most famous in Brussels, but in this case, famous does not mean great.

This restaurant came highly recommended so my partner and I were sorely disappointed with our entire experience of the place. The service was mediocre, the food was awful (pasta overcooked !) and it was very expensive.

This place was entitled to be one of he most charming places in brussels and... The experience has been totally negative.

First point: service was bad (the waiter had a bootlicker attitude at the beginning and become rude at the end). Than food looked like is was cooked long time before, with poor quality ingredients (we asked for carbonades, a very simple and traditional dish). We spent all the night digesting.... What is more food and beer are REALLY expensive. And they even asked us 30 cents for using the toilets that was dirty and stinky.

The only positive side: the environment is nice. But it looks like nobody cares about it.

Summing up, try to stay miles away from this terrible place...
