Owner description: The Beer Museum of the "Belgian Brewers" The rich tradition of Belgian beer is kept alive at the Brewery Museum. Visitors are shown implements, brewing and fermentation tubs, a boiling kettle and the material found in an eighteenth-century brewery. In the cosy cafe, memories of days gone by are brought back to life. Old tankards, antique porcelain and the paraphernalia from an inn of the past illustrate what doubtless deserves to be called "Belgian Beer Culture". Over the years, the Belgian brewers have kept pace with technology, centuries of brewing experience, investing in the necessary know-how and better techniques, as well as respect for both beer and nature are the pillars of the Belgian brewing industry. Tradition with an eye to the future: Visitors to the Brewery Museum will see that this is indeed the case inside this hub of the latest brewing technology. The Belgian brewers will gladly offer you a glass of delicious beer in the cafe of the Brewery Museum.

There is a reason why this place has so many bad reviews. It's not a museum. There is nothing to it. Waste of money. It relies on its location on the grand place to suck people in thinking it might be interesting. Huge waste. The beer was ok at the end but basically you just got asked light or dark. If you read this please skip it. It's not worth wasting money on to see how bad it really is. Places like this shouldn't be in business. Clearly they have no shame and just want to make a quick buck.

We hadn't intended to visit but were blown in on a storm whipping through the Grand Place and thought it could be an interesting way to spend an hour or more. You head down an old wooden staircase to what it is a cellar bar with some unlabelled old brewing implements. A man takes your money at the bar, hands you a brochure and leaves you to discover the museum. This mainly involves watching an amateurish promotional video for Belgium before realising that the passage leading to the rest of the museum only leads to the toilets as you've already seen all there is. At least you get a beer I thought, though the barman was unable to even tell me what type of beer it was and it just tasted like beer-flavoured fizzy water. Shame.

A very small museum with not much to see. The highlight being the small beer at the end of the visit.

It's really just a bar that gives you a leaflet about beer and shows you a video on how beer is made... that is it. Really nice beer though and it's just a €5 but it should not be advertised as a museum

Was in the Grand Place and saw the sign for the beer museum. Was a disappointment. The good news is the cost was 5 Euro per person, and you got a small beer out of the deal, so didn't feel cheated, but not much of a museum or bar for that matter. I did receive an informative pamphlet that taught me a bit about Belgium beer though. That was good.
