The photos in the website look lovely but in reality, the hotel is not as chic as the pics depict. The interior design was extremely awkward - armchair which is not needed, a dresser that was too short to hang a coat and 'opens into the bed', toilet door that opens into a writing desk that was below the wall mounted tv, luggage area that was next to the armchair with not much standing space, shower with no little shelves for you to place the shampoo, bathroom with not much space to put your clothes... Wifi was inconsistent and slow. Breakfast was very pricey at €20 per head. Not sure what other hotels in Brussels are like but I wouldn't book it again.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights on a short city break in Brussels and were very impressed with the accommodation, location and friendly staff. Our room was on the 1st floor and although it didn't have a pretty view, it was spacious, tastefully decorated and had good facilities (a powerful shower and good sized bathroom). As we were on holiday to explore the city, not the hotel, we weren't fussed about the view!

Location was excellent, a one minute walk from Central station, five minutes from 'Grand Place', a hub of activity and a short walk to some excellent restaurants (we highly recommend Nuetnigenough for niche venue, fabulous food and attentive service).

It was clear that the hotel had been renovated to a high standard, just needs to keep up on the paintwork touch ups as there were a few small scuffs on the white paintwork. Our shower was also so powerful that the water leaked slightly out of the door which does need addressing, but didn't impact on our enjoyment. Probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a reasonably priced hotel and I've travelled extensively for work.

To be honest, our only gripe would have been that breakfast was €20 but there were so many places in close walking distance it didn't really matter.

Would definitely stay again and definitely recommend to friends/colleagues.

In general the hotel is OK. The price - quality is good - but the hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel - which one star too much - in my opinon.

I got a room one first floor - with a view to the back of the hotel - which for sure wasn't interesting.
In addition there is officebuilding around - whicg means that for the privacy the curtains must be closed - which does the room even darker.

I can recommend the hotel for the location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors.

This hotel is always the best hotel for us. The check in is quick, the rooms are nice, the location is a 5-8 min walk to the main square, and the price is always great compared to others in the area. The only issue with this hotel is the price to park your vehicles if you drive in. I can honestly say that I'm not familiar with the other hotel's policies on this, so it may be comparable to those in the area.

Best features of the hotel: wonderful location, short distance to Centraal station, blocks from Grand Place. Bed & bath very comfortable. Overall hotel is not maintained at top notch level so expect scuffs, scratches, no shampoo, no place to set anything in the shower, wireless not robust, things like that. Worst feature was the lackadasical attitude of the front desk staff. They gave off a "couldn't care less" vibe on every interaction. While we were checking in a very distressed guest was standing next to us relating that she and three other rooms had been broken into the previous day, with no visible signs of forced entry, but money, jewelry and other items stolen. This entire converstation took place in front of us, as we were checking in, and the front desk agent acted like he could have cared less. He told the customer she'd have to call the police because the manager was out of town. Then he turned to us and said, "Are you scared now? Do you still want to check in?" Not really confidence building. He gave us an extra actual key so that we could lock the door manually so that not only a card key could open the door. Bottom line, we used the in room safe to store anything valuable, and we would definitely stay at the hotel again if the price were right because it was so convenient to everything, and the basic accommodations, bed & bath were good, but don't expect luxury or friendliness and helpfulness from the staff.

We were really dissapointed with our stay. My collegue must go everyday 3-4 times to change his room card, because he coudn't open his room. Not even in one time! On the first day we've made a spot on the sheet and we've request the reception to change it. They said ok. But on our 5 day -accomodation they didn't change the sheet even one time!! The towels are not clean, big spots are on it. The room decoration is not good. The only good point was the breakfast. The selection was really good. But the rest was only dissapointment...

Check-in pleasant enough and efficient (well, it wasn't busy!) and the room was nice enough. Modern design and clean. View was only of the office block the other side of the street. But this is a centrally located hotel - very close to Brussels Centraal train station. However - the free wifi was not working when I arrived. Promised it was being fixed. Four hours later - quite rudely told no it wasn't working. Not an ounce of apologetic tone or any kind of appreciation that for a business traveller internet is pretty essential. I was very friendly when asking about it. To top it off, the Sandton also double-charged my credit card for the room rate. I booked via a major hotel booking site - with a prepaid room-rate - but that's no excuse to charge my card twice. This has, however, been refunded two weeks later (but in the meantime I have already had to pay my credit card bill). Poor admin, unfriendly front-desk staff - combined with a pretty average room means I'd not stay here again, nor recommend it. There are plenty of well-located business-class hotels in this area of Brussels within walking distance of Brussels Central. Try another one! ;)
