Le Correge has changed my life. I have had lunch at what I consider the best restaurant in Brussels, if not Europe, at least once a week on average for the past 4 years. Old and new customers alike are made to feel welcome and special by Nancy from the moment they ring the doorbell at this small, hidden gem of a restaurant. With just 14 tables, you are safest if you book (well) ahead. The menu is varied and highly stable, always with fish and vegetarian options. A special - starters, soup and main courses - changes daily with fish Tuesdays and Fridays. The food is exceptional and good value for money. Philippe at the hobs in a solo performance conjures up a simple, market-based cuisine, always fresh, always great vegetables - with subtle sauces and virtuoso renditions of French and Belgian classics, often with an added twist of his orientally inspired searching. I hate going away from Brussels because I know I will not be able to find another Correge anywhere else. I have tried and in vain. If you only have time for one meal in Brussels, this is where you should go. Open daily for lunch and Thursday and Friday for dinner. I cannot recommend Le Correge enough!
