Busy period during X-mas time. Waiters are running up and down , right and left, this to keep this restaurant machine running. Doing this the clients ( at that moment mainly tourists) are clearly not handled as kings. Tables for 2 become long tables with 4x2 with 10 cm in-between :-) .
Nevertheless the food is good!

Very busy little restaurant. Service was questionable however food was amazing and set menu is great value. We got a table at the back as there was 11 of us and the children's meal was more or less equivalent to the adult meal. My daughter had a steak and it looked fantastic. The only downside is the service was a little poor and when you asked the waiters for anything it seemed like an ultimate burden - apparently this was common in Brussels!

The food was good, the price for it too. Drinks are way overpriced, although for Brussels this is not so exceptional.
Take your time however. While we were there during lunch and only started to eat late (after 3 pm), it took ages to get served. Some of the waiters were clearly in their siesta already. Having restaurant experience myself, I can say it was pathetic! Please Kevin, wake up your staff!!!

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Brussels on 22.09.13. Food was average compared to what it promised on the menu. My husband ordered something for main that came with a sauce. When they bought the main out the sauce was the wrong one but the waiter tried to tell him it wasn't. My husband insisted it was, and finally made the waiter smell the sauce as he had bought out some sort of creamy curry sauce. So, the waiter agrees it's the wrong sauce and as he goes to change it, drops the sauce, all over the floor in between our table and the next. It splashed all up my husbands jeans, shoes and blazer. They left the sauce on the floor and didn't attempt to wash it away (sitting outside). It looked like someone had been ill. At the end of the meal my husband asked whether they would take something off the bill because the waiter had splashed curry sauce all over him. They said no but they would pay the dry cleaning bill which was fair enough but we explained it was our last night and they we wouldn't have time to get the hotel to dry clean the clothes. Still no gesture of goodwill was given. They said we could 'send' the dry cleaning bill to them ! ! ! ! Like they'd pay it. . . . . So disappointed we went here on our last night as we loved Brussels. Avoid at all costs, food isn't anything special and service is appalling.

We went to try the famous "moules-frites" on a sunny day in Sainte-Catherine as our hotel recommended that area for the best local food! After settling down on the sunny terrace which has a lovely view on the old grain market, we waited quite a while for service even though it was at the end of the shift. We had to call the waitress several times and got increasingly anxious as we had a plane to catch. When the food eventually made it to our table, it was nothing short of AWESOME!!! The broth in which the mussels came was so good we actually had it as soup!!! As for the fries/chips - well, the Belgians DID invent them so they were of course, absolutely fabulous! Will go again for sure and do recommend this place (come with patience, though)!!!
