We ordered a smaller menu and enjoyed the food, particularly the local oysters, though my partner would have liked a larger portion of mussels...

We had a very nice lunch today in this small but well frequented (tourists and locals) restaurant. A 3 course choice menu for €23 (€7 more if you choose one of the 6 ways they serve lobster). Bottle of decent white house wine for €20. Polite service with a smile and a very friendly owner. Situated just in between the more renowned Rugbyman 1 and 2, this is a recommendable eating place. Also for Dutch speaking guests.

This restaurant is an area I would prefer to have dinner in and then go to Groote Markt for a Bolleke or something else.
The food was good - but not good enough to make it a very good tripadvisor rating. Do not misunderstand me - this would be a restaurant i would go back to for a meal on the terrace when the weather is nice - but there are most certainly better restaurants out there. We had a good service and good food - they do serve nice half small lobsters to go with your choice of dish.

They do know their stuff though - my colleague ate foie gras and they did serve a glass of sauternes to go with it.

So, in summary, good food (not very good), good location and I would come back here.

We went on a beautiful evening in September and sat outside for our meal. We were lucky that we had booked as both of the outside areas filled up quickly. The set meal was 23 euros each for a three course meal. This was excellent value as the food was perfect and the service great. A relaxed evening with a very good house white wine. I would recommend this as a great place to eat in Brussels.

If you want to eat seafood in good old Brussels tradition you don't want to go there. We took a "discovery" meny for 39€ and what we've got is simply a disgrace for food.
First they gave us a simple toast with about 12 Norvegian (why not the famous Belgian Northsee gray schrimps??) frozen tasteless schrimps and a kind of cocktail sauce, after that there was a tiny cup of (fresh from the can) tasteless lobstersoup followed by (another) toast with a tiny slice of the cheapest smoked salmon. After that some sandy mussels gratinated with cheap cheese, a half rubber tiny lobster, a plate with two tny portions of low quality cheese (Brie and Chaumes) and as desert some low quality pastries. on top of this all the service was terrible and chaotic. Some waiters could hardly understand Dutch, French or English and had no idea what they were doing.
