Lovely atmosphere with fabulous food. The waitress was welcoming and provided great recommendations. Very reasonable price for the quality of the food, can thoroughly recommend every aspect, especially the deserts. Recommend getting there early though as the tables fill up fast!

“Get in early”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

After our first attempt to get into this restaurant we made sure that we were there early the next night and it was quite worth it. The restaurant only seats 28 people and doesn't take bookings so would suggest an early dinner to avoid a long wait. The beer list is impressive (as it should be in Belgium) and the staff are very passionate about beer. We started with the Duck pate to keep us busy while choosing the main and were not disappointed, the texture is arguably more a rillette but it doesn't effect the taste. I quite enjoyed the Pork in beer & wild mushroom sauce and the only criticism of it was a little light on the seasoning. Overall, a must visit establishment in Brussels

“Great Belgian Cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

The service here was just as amazing as the food. Our waiter was knowledgeable and took the time to provide well informed recommendations and pairings. We were served delicious, hearty, authentic Belgian food, and for a surprisingly reasonable price. In the three months I've lived in Belgium so far, this restaurant was my best experience yet, and I'll definitely be back. As we were advised by one of the employees, reservations are not taken, so the best hours to come are either early (6~7ish) or later (after 9).

“Awkward atitude”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

I think the good reviews on Tripadvisor got to their head.
Following the reviews here,we wanted to try the restaurant while in Brussels.
So we went in around 5.30 pm on Saturday, only 5-6 people seated, and we asked for a reservation for 7 or 8 pm.
The response was "sorry ,we're all booked at that time, not possible"
Just out of curiosity, aound 7.15 ,after we walked around Grand Place,we passed by again,so i went in,as again only 6-8 people seated so plenty of tables free.
Again, same sour face lady, refused us saying everything was booked, and no table under any circumstances before 10 pm.
It was obvious she was just obnoxious,as there was not a possibility that in the next hour a huge mob would burst in.
So,we went to Fin de Siecle, few streets over, where they were packed, but they did not refuse ,we just waited 5 min,and got a table.
And trust me,they were really packed.

“Lovely whole hearted food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

We choose this as a lunch spot from the tripadvisor reviews and pictures of course!

The Friday we arrived I didn't realised it was closed at 3pm so check before you make your journey.

So we ended up trying again on Saturday lunchtime and we were not disappointed. It isn't a big resturant, with what looked like maybe two staff working but it makes up for the traditional Belgium food. I had rabbit and my husband had beef stew which was tasty and statisfying.

I would recommand a vist and would come here again!
