Had a pheasant with marvellous sauce there, just great! Service during our dinner time was excellent too, I've got recommendations for food as well as advice what beer would suit the food best.
As we stayed in the Hotel Bloom, we went there the other evening for drinks, but then waiters were not so attentive any more, and we had to go to bar to order.
I liked the interior - cosy sofas for having a drink, designed tables for having a dinner.

Part of the bloom hotel - nice , relaxed atmosphere - reasonable food ( not going to win an y awards ) but okay for those not wanting to go wandering - plenty of lighter/ healthier options on menu

Myself and my girlfriend had dinner on a Friday night and we ordered one starter of veal which was average but when it came to the main course it was horrible. The main courses were a smood burger (beef burger), which was too peppery because they covered it in a peppercorn mayo sauce, but the chips were nice and the other is the disgusting chicken burger.

As for the chicken burger with no bread (breadless burger is standard), this is the most disgusting restaurant food I have tried in a while. The texture of the chicken was nothing like I have ever tried, it had a crunch and at the same time a bit chewy in the middle. I could not work out how they cooked the chicken but if these mains are to go by then I would avoid this restaurant. The hotel is nice, just not the 'restaurant'.

The restaurant of hotel Bloom, wildly imaginative scenery, surrealistic decoration, interesting although not necessarily very functional. Food follows the same style, very innovative but again not reaching the high levels you'd expect. Service is good but a bit arrogant and tiring sometimes. Wines too overpriced.

Smoods is in the Hotel Bloom. The restaurant is as charming, eclectic and welcoming as the great hotel. It is a cozy bar and a tasty restaurant. I dont typically recommend hotel restaurants but this one is special.
