Eating at Noordzee was a unique experience. First, we joined the crowd in front of the fish bar to place our orders. This took a while due to the long queues at lunch hour, but we managed to distract ourselves with the divine smell of freshly grilled seafood. The staff here were very helpful in explaining the menu items and recommending which dishes to order. Most of them were fluent in English and conversing with them was a breeze.
It took a short while for the food to be prepared, upon which the staff member shouted my name across the street to alert me. After collecting our food and wine, we retreated to the central table area where we enjoyed our lunch in the warm sun. All of the dishes that we ordered were decent, with the tuna steak, fresh oysters and fried calamari being particularly outstanding. We helped ourselves to another round of the delicious oysters, washed everything down with a glass of house white, and were ready to go. Overall, a very pleasant (but slightly pricey) lunch experience.
