We decided to choose La Petite Provence from all the other restaurants because the place had a good vibe and inside the atmosphere and music was warm and relaxing. Indeed, we were not wrong, great, tasty food, wonderful prices, friendly and unintrusive staff. The stakeh, the fish specialtie, the soup de homard, they were all great. The nougat dessert was also delicious.

“Much better than expected”

Thought this place would be cost effective rather than good. Steak was better than places twice the price. Our smal. Group had a very pleasant evening here.

“Over priced, over confident”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2011

We ventured in and were welcomed by one of three guys who sat us in a nice spot next to the fire. The more chatty of the three came to take our order and promptly bought our drinks serving a pint instead of small beer. My husband ordered the steak but was advised it was finished but could have the fillet - slightly overpriced at €29 so he went for the chicken- i chose the duck we were offered a salad with the meal . Service was swift, but the plates were cold and looked greasy and the food less than average & small portions. The salads came after and the warm frites were in a small bowl on the side . The guys were busy chatting to females and on the phone one very arrogant. We ate and asked for the bill €73 we had been charged €12 for the side salad of limp lettuce 1/2 tomato and a bit of cumcumber and onion an elderly gentleman came to take the payment and asked if we wanted to add service.!! It was our last meal in the city after a lovely three days -but left a nasty taste !! Dont be charmed the food is not taditional or worth the money.

“Friendly welcome and good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2011

Most of the restaurants in the Rue des Bouchers area look the same and I visited La Petite Provence as the guy standing outside was less pushy than most. I had mixed grilled fish which was excellent and 2 local beers. Total €35 which was about average for the area. It is a small place but staff were friendly and overall a relaxed atmosphere.
