“If in need of a place for a business dinner/lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

Went on a tuesday evening. the place is in the "European union neighborhood", near Schuman underground. It's nothing fancy or romantic, but pretty good for business meeting, with a varied choices of dishes including meant, fish and vegetarians covering about all tastes.

Quality of food is from average to good, Service was fast 8but again, was a slow tuesday evening), price is average for the zone, maybe a bit pricey if taken in absolute terms.

“Nice venue, disappointing food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

This Restaurant is located in the Place Jourdin, which is a small square of cafes, bars and eteries. I selected this restaurant as the interior was modern and bright and the menu looked interesting. The staff were certainly friendly but the food did not live up to expectations. The dishes were well presented but poorly executed. I had a starter of Scallops with rice (St Jacques)/ A beautiful dish arrived but the first taste told the story...no taste at all. The scallops needed more caramelisation and lacked any seasoning at all. The butter sauce was equally tasteless and the whole dish tasted just like the bland rice. For 18 odd Euros I expected better but three bland, scallops was not good.

I looked forward to a better showing of a main course of Sea Bass. This turned up having clearly spent too much time uder the pass as the fillet had a crusty, hard edge, had lost a lot of its moisture and the new potatoes had started to form a crust as well. A redeeming feature was that the fillet at least had a pleasant taste. The meal was not cheap and as such I expected better. If the aim was to emulate the bland non-desript coutry that is Belgium, then they clearly achieved it!

“Good mussels, lacking in service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

This is a nicely located place on the square, and we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The mussels were fine, but came with fries which were far from remarkable and actually tasteless. Worst of all, the waiter was less than courteous. There are no vegetables on the menu.

“don't eat here”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2012

This was the only bad meal out of 18 days of travelling. The stir fry was very greasy and lacking in vegetables.

“Reliable seafood in the heart of the Euro quartier”

Light lunch - fish nicely done. Nothing terribly remarkable, but good value and skillful execution.
