The Cafe Belga is situated in an Art Deco building and is always teeming with people. On a sunny day the terrace is jam-packed. There are small dishes available that have to be bought at the counter. On occasions there are live bands playing. It is just a nice place to hang out.

It is quite a "snob place", but a very good one.Un peu BCBG feeling, or a place for bobos and students with money....the wifi code is worth for 30 minutes, then you have to order and order and order again to receive the code. Sometimes there is no wifi at all. The atmosphere is very good, sometimes the music is too loud. you have to know that it is one of Brussels's rare places where you can get draft Maredsous, one of the best Belgian beer. You also have a good choice of spirits, vodkas and whiskeys especially. The place is too crowded during weekends, Friday night or Saturday there are a lot of people. The place is best in summers or in spring time in the terrace, if you find a place. If you come here, you have to try draft Maredsous.

Cool bar for cool people. Nevertheless, better for beers than for food. Nothing but nuts, cheese and sausage are being served after lunch. Always packed!

It's one of the great places in Brussels for after-work drinks and meeting friends - at the heart of busy Place Flagey.
Went there for lunch a couple of times, and wasn't that good. There is not much variety, and if you go at 13.00 there is nothing left.

Cafe Belga is where the sun worshippers go to in Brussels. The square is full of kids and locals generally chilling and enjoying the sun on a summer's day. Cafe Belga is not dressed to impress. Nor do you get the crazy gourmet French food. It is a large cafe with a bar and a kitchen which has self-service. We walked in there famished after a long walk from Ixelles and the Meatballs and Rice hit the spot. The prices were reasonable and the menu, though not extensive, suits the purpose just fine. The meals are usually fresh but pre-cooked and I am guessing the staff in the kitchen ruffle up the sandwiches and salads. Service can be a bit of a problem if you do not speak any French but then again they have all the time in the world to try their best to explain what exactly is that you are ordering. The crowd outside is mostly young locals and the insides were mostly university students and creative professionals all working on their Macbooks while sipping on their coffees or beers. Stop there for a drink or make it a pit stop as the location is strategic. And please keep some place in your stomach for the most amazing fries in all of Brussels on the little cart on the square (right across the cafe) with hand-painted menu boards. You will not be disappointed.
