A classic bar. Must see if you want to have a feel of the real Brussels. Try the local beers, not the ones marketed by ABI. Ask advice to the waiters, they will lighten up if they see you are actually interested in local beers.

Very well placed near all the major attractions in Brussels. Nice choice of belgian beers. Superb deco. It brings you back to the turn of the century. Poor service and lack of snacks, only cheap cheese and ham

One of a number of Brussels traditional pubs. Worth a visit. Selection of beer could be better considering that there over 300 different types in Belgium

This is an institution in Brussels. Not far from the Grand-Place, just past the passage of the Galeries St-Hubert, it worth the few steps to avoid having something to drink in a non descript bar or café.
A no frills establishment, its been catering to a locals and tourists for generations. A great selection of beers of course (including a few house brewed) and the classic belgian amuse-gueules and apetizers.
A must place for each of my Brussels stopovers or stays.

All Bruxelles people revere it and it has an old established charm with a buzzy atmosphere the very formally-attired servers seem to attend to with ease. The art deco surroundings of this large beer cafe are a delight. If it is sunny there might be a pavement spot where you can watch the world go by. Nice but limited menu, the full range of beers is to be found at really small places off the Grand Place you need a local for. This is the place to meet friends or go with groups.
