I work near the place, so I've been here a couple of times because somebody wanted to go there because it's near. Everytime I decide never to go again, until I go again because somebody wants to go there because it's near.
Salvarino is just as bland as this introduction suggests. It's crowded: guests sit really close to each other and the physical proximity of passing waiters is even uncormfortable at times. The service is almost always bad: they make you wait, they forget what you ordered, etc.
The food is mediocre. Unless, of course, you like wet pizzas and pastas with a dull taste. Another reviewer here claims they make "real Italian pizza": I beg to differ. Real Italian pizza is crunchy and you taste both the various ingredients separately and their combination. Here, depending on the topping, the pizza is either mushy or leathery and the quality of the ingredients is just too low to offer much taste.
