The hotel and the spa are not as bad as it is described in other reviews but the place is a mix of good and bad and I can understand the negative reviews since, by comparison with other hotels of the same range, I also consider what is offered in Chateau de Limelette as overcharged.

Depending of the price, rooms can be tiny to spacious what gives an entirely different perspective of the stay. Be aware of it when booking a room there.
It's an old place. So, surely, it could be refurbished in the meantime that's what gives it its charm.
A good point is that, regardless of the room size, the beds are comfortable.
The hotel is secluded and peaceful. By contrast, the spa can be quite busy.
The breakfast is good if you eat cold and drink hot, bad if you eat warm and drink cold. Basically, go for croissants with tea/coffee and avoid the scrambled eggs and the orange juice (orange referring to the colour rather than the fruit).
The service was very good and the hotel was clean and safe.
The amenities in the spa are good (even though you can easily spot defective devices if you start to look for it) but, unless you are willing to spend extra money, the options are limited if you plan to stay there for three hours.
The spa has some strange features. As an example, the changing rooms are upstairs while the hairdryers and all you need to get ready to get out are downstairs ...where you cannot go if you are dressed. So, the design is not used at its best. Personally, it amused me. Other customers complained about it.
The free wifi and free parking is great but still does not justify, for me, the price asked per night.
(I hope my review will be helpful for travellers as well as for the owner of this place)

I really thought this would be a great end to our holiday as we made our way back to Calais. The location seemed right - just of the autroute but in he countryside - nice and quiet good facilities and nice rooms. First not easy to find - probably my sat nav though so OK. I found some of the signage was a bit small but as we did get closer it became obvious so probably not their fault. Reception was OK without being overwhelming and the lift was broke so had to hump the bags up 2 flights- that would have been tough for some. Room was nice enough without being great at least we were in the main part of the hotel. Got a good deal on the room rate probably because it was a bank holiday and everything in Belgium seemed to be shut! Meal in the evening was very good but expensive so overall was a pleasant stay and a moderate cost I think this is a hotel for business conferences or weddings rather than a family stay. It just did not hit the mark!.

Room Tip: Ask to be in the main part of the hotel otherwise you walk miles of corridors!

My boyfriend took me there, to celebrate our anniversary. It is well located in a very calm, green area off the beaten track. The room is super old-fashioned (pink roses on carpet, roses also on all the walls), reminded me of old movies. Just doesn't fit in our century. The breakfast was ok. Apparently it was really expensive, so honestly I wouldn't want to return.

The hotel is a labyrinth. To get to the room you have to cross the garden, then to pass through 2 km of corridors, then you take the lift to the cellar to can take another one which brings you to the socond floor, whitch is in fact the fourth. Yes, this describtion seems to be a little bit complicated, but the real situation is much worse. If we haven't met local plumber we would be looking for the room till today.
