St. Rumbold's Cathedral is one of those impressive cathedrals of Europe you want to see. It was build in 13th and 14th centuries and the remains of St Rombout are supposedly buried there. Allowing some time to visit the Cathedral and see it in detail is worthwhile due to its architectural and artistic beauty. Do not miss the impressive tower with over 500 stairs.

The entire historical center was charming and fun. Easy walking everywhere. Great food, wonderful bakeries, so lots of walking is highly recommended.

Fatastic views from the top! Worth the climb and the bells ring beautifully all the way up. Good resting places on the way up and down and very cleverly there is an up and a down staircase so no passing or waiting. Takes over an hour to visit and you will need sensible shoes.

Have always wanted to climb the tower, glad we eventually got round to doing it! The views from the top are fantastic, you can see the Atomium in Brussels on a clear day! Just make sure you're not too close to the bells when they ring! They are loud!

Very nice gothic cathedrale. Very well preserved /restored. Impressive tower (which is never finished), check out the carved pulpit and search for the little animals hidden in the carvings :-)
