Stayed here, off season, with a big group for one night.
Hostel is situated very well, it's a 10 minutes max walk from the waterside (the place were most busses drop you off). Bars like the Bonaparte are within a 10 minutes walking distance. If you arrive from the central station with bags I'd advise you'd take a cab. Walking is possible but will take more then 30 minutes (you'd have to cross the whole Meir). Off course, for a trip to the Zoo or the Diamont Museum (next to the station) this is no problem.
The hostel is new, huge and clean. But to be honest, it looks like a hospital. It's definitely not your typical cosy backpackers place, but sleeping was good. Despite the fact that the place (due to the abundence of concrete and lack of sound absorbing gewgaws) is kinda noisy, the night was silent (they were very strict regarding to noise).
Breakfast is okay, not very special.
All in all a very nice place to stay for some nights in Antwerp
