“A Great Find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

Stumbled across it because a restaurant recommended to me in the vicinity was closed. Place looks kind of rustic (red and white plastic table cloth nailed to the tables), and the menu at first glance disappointing - but don't judge this book by its covers: The specials recited by the friendly staff sounded mouthwatering and lived up to their promise. Had a great three-course meal with beer and wine (very good, and a great variety of wines by the glass). Don't miss.

“Hard to find but well worth it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

A small restaurant, maybe 20 covers which is surrounded by what appears to be an art gallery of sorts.
The staff were attentive and friendly which was great since the menu was in Dutch. The waitress didn't rush us through the menu but had great patience and was able to explain how each dish was made.

The asparagus and crayfish soup to start was light and fresh. The veal escalope was so flavourful and cooked to perfection, it came with salad and oven cooked sliced potatoes. The portion sizes were large that we shared the main which the chef kindly split and plated for each of us.

With the main we had wine which doesn't come by the glass; they leave the bottle on your table and when your done drinking they will tally up or change you to a different wine and leave that on your table until your done. Quite unusual and we were worried that we would be overcharged but there was no issue, it was very laid back and helped make the experience even better!

The dessert was a chocolate mousse which my partner thought was excellent, however I had the cheese plate; it wasn't listed on the menu but instead they offered to make one up for me a la minute as there wasn't a dessert on the menu I fancied. It was excellent.

At the end we received a free drink on the house and a small plate of little biscuits to wrap up the entire experience.

Great meal and experience.
