I went to eat at Umami with my family in October. Only knowing it was a Japanese restaurant, I expected the usual sushi place. It turned out to be much more, though they do serve the traditional sushi as well (and doing a good job at it), which we had as starters. For the main course they give you the opportunity to go for the "order a bunch of dishes and share around the table" formula. As such, even though I've only went for diner once, I have had the occasion to sample a lot of dishes, and I wasn't disappointed in any of them. Definitely a place to recommend!
The staff is friendly. They made a small mistake by bringing us two portions of a dish of which we ordered only one, but they let us keep it free of charge.
