I live in Antwerp and there aren't many Thai restaurants here so I decided to give this one a try. This place is not very expensive (but still pricy if you look at the interior. Very very basic, not the place for a romantic date!).
I must say that the food was quiet nice the first time we went, portions not big but the taste was ok. We ordered 3 different curries and they came in separate bowls so we could share.
Second time we went the food came on tiny rectangle plates with the rice already on the plate so hardly possible to share between different people (and really tiny portions!). When I asked why we got the curries in bowls the first time the answer was that we could order larger portions for a supplement (about 50% extra on the normal portion price). Not a very logical answer in my opinion but we gave them the benefit of doubt so we went back a 3rd time. We ordered starters followed by 2 curries (asked for large portions, in bowls!). When the food came it was indeed served in a bowl (like the first time when we were there, but then a much smaller portion, even though we ordered 'large' for a supplement). When I asked if these were the 'large' portions that we ordered the answer was 'you certainly want to eat for free?'. The curries literally had about 50 grams of chicken/meat each, very very poor !! That was it for us, we won't ever go back if that's the way they treat their customers. If you want nice Thai food for a decent price and good portions I suggest to go to Chef Khem in Mortsel near Antwerp.
