Description: In this interior, that seems to be a copy of an authentic pub of the years 1930 with a typical tiled floor and "lampes belges", you may expect no-nonsense Belgian plain fare with a beer twist. To evolue the right atmosphere you can drink your beer at the into tables transformed yeast presses, seated on half barrels converted into chairs. You'll almost have to make a study to choose your beer out of the 25 draught beers and more than 300 bottled beers! There fore they present a beer encyclopedia with pictures and clarifications. On friday there is a beer sommelier to answer all your questions.

“Beer for everybody!”
Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

The Bier Central has one of the longest list of beers I've ever seen. So if you pass by it and you see "Stella Artois" don't think that you can only have a Stella Artois, you can have any kind of Belgian beer. If you're also hungry, ask for a Belgian beef stew cooked with brown Leffe and a Belgian chocolate brownie... delicious! The prices are ok, you can have your beer, a main plate and a dessert for less than 25€ (this is the cheapest dinner we had in Belgium).

“as a beer house its one of the best”
Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

i like this place as a bar...the interior is very cosy...but i dont see this as a restaurant...the overwelming amount of beers is making this one of antwerps finest though...

“Beer Heaven”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

My husband thought he had died and gone to heaven when he looked at the choices of beer in this pub. It's quite like a British pub in that it is dark and decorated with an eclectic style. The choice of beers is staggering, from Blonde Beer to Dark Stout Beer and all colours in between. There is a 'pub grub' kind of menu for those wanting more than liquid refreshment and I chose the local Belgian Beef Stew. The meat was tender and covered in delicious gravy with fresh chips and crusty bread to mop up the juices. Highly recommend it.

“If you like good Belgian Beer....”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

This is really a fantastic bar with food to compliment the delicous beers. They have a beer catalogue like a telephone directory of the incredible range of specialists Belgian beers.
For me, the draft Triple Karmeliet was irresistable but my friend loved the draft La Chouffe while our wives liked the Ramee Blonde. The waiters are very knowledgable and will even give you a small taste of a draft beer to see if its to your taste.
I like this bar for the selection of Trappiste beers with small snacks of cheese and salami.
Antwerp is full of great bars but for variety of quality beers, I have found nowhere which compares to Bier Central. Cheers !

Great beers, and great fingerfood. When you visit the (well hidden) bathroom you get a great view of the storeroom, quite impressive!!!
