Pleasant little streets in the old city with a medieval feeling. This very old passage between two main streets was beautifully restored and some nice restaurants are situated in it.

“A very cool peak at a snippet of the old city”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Yup, it's hard to find. Follow your GPS or hotel directions to the big medieval doors and go through.

Once in, though, it's a really neat, tiny, winding peak at the old city. Definitely worth the wander! There are two restaurants in there as well. I didn't eat at either, but I've heard good things.

When you exit, go across the street to Elisa Pralines. It's my favorite belgian chocolate shop!

“tiny cool”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

From the brief information in the guide books/sites, my expectations were quite high. But the narrow inlet from the large tourist street is not the easiest to find. That said, the guides' comments are correct - it's a lovely and remarkable step back in time. But! It's quite limited in space and even with ten people inside, it can feel a bit crowded, especially with many wanting to take photos. You can't help but be in someone's way. It's worth seeing though.

“a little bit of OLD antwerp”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

if you are a history buff and enjoy a unique experience, walk this little alley for a step back in time. You will also find two lovely restaurants that maintain the old world ambiance.
