We choosed Sababa as our place for dinner after skipping some other ethnic restaurants in the center of Antwerp which looked like tourist traps.
Our choice proved to be excellent because we dinned in a very friendly restaurant with good middle eastern food and reasonable prices.
This place laso has a fine decoration and presents its plates in a very cosy way.
Highly recommended!

Very nice little restaurant, family run, I saw locals eating there. The food and wine was delicious, fresh and extremely generous for a very low price. I ended up eating there accidentally and was really positively surprised. The staff is also very friendly. The location is great, on the main street in the old city. Highly recommended!

If you love food with a middle eastern twist then you will love this place, it's a small family run business of a husband and wife and after you eat there once they always remember you and treat you like family, it's got a very warm and cozy atmosphere. I love how they greet you with fresh olives on the table and a cold drink then when ordering your plate which averages around 11 euros per person, you get a HUGE plate of variety, color, flavor at an amazing cost! They love it when you come back and you always will, this restaurant is right in the middle of the city near all the other restaurants by the tall cathedral by the harbor. I have eaten at a number of middle eastern establishments around Europe but trust me this one is tops on my list and I am one picky eater!! I recommend the roasted eggplant dish. It's delicious and if u ask for half n half the cook will throw in some homemade felafels. He's the best!!! they are a dinner restaurant so come after 4pm or so.
