Found this attraction on Trip Advisor and fortunately it was close to Hotel Hylitt where we stayed, so the 2 hours free time that we had was well spent visting Reubens House .. Though my personal preference is to call it a Home!
Prolific and Successful Artist Reubens and many of his pupils and contemporary artists' paintings and some sculptures are on display here. A helpful Guidebook in a few languages, including English is available alongwith the ticket price of 8 Euros .. which by the way is value for money! An Audio Guide is for 2 Euros Extra .. invest in it if you are alone and have more hours to appreciate the fine art.
This experience cannot be described in words .. it transports you to a Golden and perhaps Unhurried World where patrons spent fortunes commissioning artworks from their favourite artists.

This house really underlines that Rubens was already in his lifetime very successfull artist, also By economical standards. House itself is really great and there are dozens of impressive and valuable paintings and equipments.
Paintings are really great and guide book tells many nice stories.
Ticket, 8€, is cheap for what You get.

My wife and I had a beautiful lunch in the sun, while enjoying a couple of premium beers. The staff were very helpful, and friendly, one to visit.

Rubens house has been significantly restored but retains a fantastic medieval charm. The house showcases both how he and other wealthy peopled lived and the workshop and gallery where he showcased his work.

For anyone interested in architecture, walled gardens or life in the past this house provides a unique and fascinating insight.

Go early to avoid crowds. Guidebook in English is excellent. Garden is magnificent. Not just for art lovers. Insights into ways people lived and traditions of rich up through present day. Gift shop not great too art and Rubens specific for me.
