One of the oldest in the world, reflected in the beautiful architecture and the stunning landscaping. Great history, fantastic sculptures, once the home of Rembrandt Bugatti. And of course, the fabulous collection of wildlife.

Though the cost of maintaining wild animals in captivity is reflected by the price of the entrance, the investment might very well being be value for money. The English garden at the heart of the Zoo has been a pleasant leisure place for over 170 years. The homes of the animals are continuously improved, which - next to keeping animal welfare organizations satisfied- has he added benefit of allowing visitors to better enjoy the pranks of elephants or the splendor of exotic birds.
At times they organize animation for the children. :)
Lately they gave birds a lot more space.

I believe its one of the oldest zoo's with a beautiful entrance you will just fall in love not only with the animals but with the architect. Situated within the centre of the city you wouldn't know you where in Antwerp you can easily get lost within the sheer beauty and forget about the hustle of the city outside the gates. Not a huge zoo but you can spend a good few hours longer maybe if you have children. I always head straight to the Monkey's they are my favourite animal by far and there were many different species so i had plenty of enjoyment from them. Went to see the sea lion show even though i don't speak the language i still really enjoyed the show that they put on. A all around beautiful zoo and a definite stop on your trip to Antwerp.

It was a magical day out with the family. A definite visit if in Antwerp. The zoo map was easy to read and the grounds and facilities were extremely clean. The kids had so much fun as there were a vast amount of animals and reptiles to see. We absolutely loved the day out and will definitely come back again.
