We really enjoyed our visit to this zoo. There are lots of lovely animals to see and the layout is easy to follow and spacious. Watched lots of animals being fed by very caring zoo keepers. The animals were easy to view and the enclosures were big, well thought out for the animals needs and very clean. The paths and garden areas were very well maintained. Food places were quite expensive but then they always are at these places, there were plenty of places to sit and eat so you could always take your own. The Tigers and the Hippos were fascinating to watch and it was good to get so close to the giraffes. A great day out, highly recommended.

Antwerp Zoo is conveniently located next door to the Central Rail Station (which itself is a stunning building). As it was so central, I was surprised to find such a large area with room for a very good variety of creatures from round the world. Everything is well laid out and the animals generally have plenty of space to move about. A good day out for a family visit.

Next to Antwerp's fantastic renovated Central Station, this is a "must do" with children.
You have everything in (short) walking distance : sea lions show, birds, snakes, elephants, bears, penguins, seals, etc. etc., benches in the shade to rest on, nice playground, ...
Very agreable, relaxing and cooling down on a city-summer day.
Lots of possibilities to eat/buy food, although we prefer to bring our own picnic, this is less expensive (and it is allowed to BYO).

The Antwerp Zoo is an enjoyable zoo to visit. There is a variety of animals, including many birds, sea animals and big land animals. I think we spend about 2,5 to 3 hours when walking through the zoo, taking our time to look around. It was a sunny day when we were there, which is very pleasant when walking around a zoo, but the sun made it sometimes difficult to look into some animal cages surrounded by glass.

Visiting the Antwerp Zoo is really easy as it is situated right next to the Central Station. Visiting fees are a bit expensive, though it is quiet worth the money. For students I recommend not to forget your student pass (including a proof of enrollment) such that you will get €5 discount on your entrance fee.

I have been here a couple of times as a kid wich was amazing. Last time I went there was with aa a volunteer with a group of people with a disability. I never had so much fun in my life!! Everything was accessible and easy to get to. There is also a discount and the monitor gets in free. It is also easy to go there in train, but not with a group of wheelchairs.
