Restaurant Dome was on my list of places to visit already for a long time, and finally this year we went there to celebrate my birthday.
It was worth the wait, and all my expectations were met.
We ate the seven course meal with accompanying wines. Even though the diner took around 4 hours, the tempo of the courses is just right.
Of course the food is very, very good. But that goes without saying in a restaurant with one Michelin star. But where Dome really makes a difference is in the attention to detail, service, and very cosy atmosphere.
One of the nice touches: when leaving the restaurant we got a fresh raisin bread from there own bakery, for a Dome style breakfast.
One small negative point maybe is the table orientation. Due to the fact that the restaurant is circular and the way the tables are placed, one side of the table is always looking at the wall. If the tables would be turned 90 degrees this would be avoided, but I guess this would mean fewer seats.
